Professor Christian Bokhove presented his collaborative work with SEdS alumnus Dr Zhenzhen Miao and Professor David Reynolds on Master Mathematics teachers in Chinese primary schools. He presented (1) the quality and characteristics of master mathematics teachers’ teaching, (2) the quality of mathematics learning they nurture with their students in affective, metacognitive and cognitive dimensions, and (3) the teaching-learning and professional development mechanisms that underpin master mathematics teachers.
