Southampton Education School doctoral researchers Jingwen Song and Aprillyana Utami were selected to attend the Malmö University PhD Summer School: Building Theory in STEM Education Research, held from 20-23 August 2025, in Malmö, Sweden. Jingwen and Aprillyana learned a lot about research paradigms, theories used in STEM education research, and their own reflections on how they can contribute to the theory, which is very useful for their PhD journey. Overall, they enjoyed their time in Malmö!
