Just published by Routledge is this new book edited by Rosalyn Hyde and Julie-Ann Edwards from the Mathematics and Science Research Centre in the Southampton Education School. Designed to support both teachers and university-based tutors in mentoring primary and secondary pre-service and beginning teachers, the book takes a research-informed view of professional practice across a range of relevant issues. The book reflects the close partnership between the Centre and practising teachers of mathematics with seven of the twelve chapters authored by the editors and other members of the Centre.
