Commissioned by the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, we are conducting a review of STEM education policies and strategies in 14 European countries. Specifically, our focus is on the current status of STEM education in the region and recent policies as well as their effects.

We analyse international and national policy reports and surveys to identify trends in motivations for STEM education reform, STEM curriculum, STEM teacher recruitment and training, access and equity in STEM, and funding and resources. The comparative analysis will result in a set of recommendations for national and international policymakers in STEM education.
