On Saturday, November 2nd, we hosted a vibrant one-day conference in partnership with the British Society for Research on Learning Mathematics (BSRLM). The event brought together 85 attendees, including more than a dozen local colleagues and no fewer than seven presentations contributions from our Southampton Education School (SES) colleagues. The conference also provided valuable opportunities to showcase the growing momentum in mathematics education in Southampton, and to strengthen networks with our local Department of Mathematics and with those across the country. A big thank you to everyone to contributed to the day’s success, including our fantastic team of student volunteers who ensured the conference ran smoothly from start to finish. Feedback from the central organizing committee and the wider community has been overwhelmingly positive, underscoring the impact and collaborative spirit of the day.
