PhD student Jingwen Song attended the Conference for Research in Early Childhood Education (CRECE) 2024 at The Education University of Hong Kong, China from 1-3 June, and presented her project on climate change education in early childhood. Her presentation focused on the design of the teacher professional development programme, how the programme activities can help teachers’ learning, and the findings from the pilot study about trying out the activities. Jingwen took two of her workshops as examples and detailed their design principles regarding how teachers can learn climate change science and teach climate change to early childhood children age-appropriately through socioscientific inquiry-based learning.
