We have a good presence of MSHE members at the BSRLM conference in Brighton on 12 November 2016 when three of our members present their work.
Christian Bokhove is involved in presenting two papers, one on training mental rotation skills to improve spatial ability and the other on designing creative electronic books for mathematical creativity. Christian’s latest publication is Supporting variation in task design through the use of technology.
Kotaro Komatsu (MSHE Visiting Fellow from Shinshu University, Japan) and Keith Jones are presenting their research on the interpretation and production of diagrams when tackling proof problems in a dynamic geometry environment. Kotaro’s latest publication is Fostering empirical examination after proof construction in secondary school geometry, while Keith’s latest publication is Students’ understanding of the structure of deductive proof.
