Prof Marcus Grace and Dr Andri Christodoulou participated in the third Consortium meeting of the FP7-funded PARRISE project that took place between 15-17 June 2015 at Malmo University, Sweden. The aim of the project is to develop best practices of professional development programmes that promote Responsible Research and Innovation and Citizenship Education through Socio-Scientific Inquiry-based learning in science education.
Southampton Education School is part of the group of partners focusing on lower secondary science education. During this consortium meeting, we had the chance to share our professional development programmes and discuss the outcomes of our pilot implementations. We have also discussed the challenges we have phased during this year and identified possible solutions as we now prepare for the first round of implementation during 2015-16.
